Making A Reservation

By submitting your reservation request via this web site, you agree to be bound by the policies described herein as well as the Terms & Conditions governing your use of this site. Policies are subject to change without notice.

It is important to provide us with accurate information to avoid any delay in processing your reservation. This may result in a change to the package availability or fare change.

Once you have received a price quote, we will make your booking and guarantee* the price we quoted at that time. Please be sure to use your correct "LEGAL" name(s) as it appears on your passport and proof of citizenship. *Exception: Government taxes and airline fuel surcharges may be imposed after making your initial deposit and will be applied to all bookings not paid in full.

Reservation Confirmation Information
We use Dynamic Leisure electronic ticketing technology. We will electronically ticket your air, all you need is your itinerary information to acquire your boarding pass from the airline. Your land and other package options will be sent to you as VOUCHERS via U.S. Mail or express service, which MUST BE PRESENTED to the appropriate hotel or provider. If your package includes area attractions, please go to the Customer Service office of that attraction to pick-up your entrance pass.

Please be sure to BRING YOUR PASSPORT and VOUCHERS when you travel.

Deposits & Payment Information
Many of our vacation packages offer a deposit option, which is based on the type of vacation package you selected and time of departure, (typically 60 days or more from your departure date).

  • Vacation packages booked 60 days or more from departure require $200 U.S. dollars per person, plus the total cost of your airfare/transportation, all taxes, fees and travel insurance (if purchased) paid with a major credit card at the time of booking.*
  • Vacations booked 60 days or less from departure or for select holidays and blackout periods require payment in full at the time of reservation, paid with a major credit card.*
  • Cruises and Villas often require up to 25% of the total cost of the trip 6 months prior to the departure date*

*All prices are calculated in U.S. dollars. Airfare includes required government taxes, segment fees, airport passenger facility charges (PFC's), September 11th security fees and federal segment fees.

Adjustments of vacation package pricing will not be made after full payment, nor shall ANY subsequent rate reduction be made retroactively. We reserve the right to correct any errors and re-invoice any vacation.

Making Payments
Payments may be made by calling us toll-free at 1-888-359-9629 or online. To make a payment online, go to VeteransDiscountTravel.com, click on "My Reservation" and enter your confirmation booking number and the lead passenger's last name, then follow the directions at the bottom of the page.

Full Payments
Payment in full is due at the time of booking unless your vacation is a special offer and meets our departure date guidelines (see Deposits above). Bookings made 60 days or less from departure or for select holidays and blackout periods require immediate payment in full with a major credit card. Be sure to make your payment on time, as we cannot hold reservations beyond the payment deadlines.

Bookings made 7 days or less from departure require an additional fee of $25.00 for express delivery of travel documents. Saturday and International overnight delivery fees may be higher.

Children's Rates
Special children's rates may be available with your vacation package and will be quoted with the total package price based upon request. Additional charges for cribs, rollaway beds, car seats and similar special request items will be the responsibility of the individual and must be paid directly to the hotel or rental car/transportation company. Children 14 years and younger may not travel alone and must be accompanied by an adult 21 years and older on the same vacation package. Hotel check-in restrictions may apply.

Accuracy of Information
We have made every possible attempt to display accurate information however, hotel availability and air pricing change moment to moment. In some instances, it may take 24 to 72 hours for confirmation depending on destination and season of travel. In the unlikely event we are unable to confirm your hotel or air travel as requested, we will contact you with alternatives.

Documentation / Confirmation Information
Travel documents are generally sent out via regular U.S. Mail one week after final payment is made. YOU MUST PRESENT YOUR DOCUMENTS AND VOUCHERS AT CHECK-IN. Your airline itinerary will serve as documentation to receive your boarding pass from the airline. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE ACCURACY OF CONFIRMATIONS AND DOCUMENTS IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIPT. If any discrepancy exists, you must contact us within 24 hours of receipt of the confirmation itinerary or documents will be considered accepted and accurate. If your package includes area attractions, please go to the Customer Service office of that attraction to pick-up your entrance pass.

Revisions / Changes
Once payment has been received, a fee of $50.00 USD will be charged each time changes are made to a reservation, plus any additional change fees/penalties that may apply from the individual hotels, airlines, and other vendors.

Cancellations (Without Insurance Waiver)
We strongly recommend that you protect your vacation investment with low-cost travel insurance for Accident, Baggage, Health, Trip Cancellation, Natural Disaster/Hurricanes, AND Terrorism coverage.

All cancellation requests must be in writing with a reason for the cancellation and sent to MyRes@VeteransDiscountTravel.com, or fax 813-830-6731. To cancel your reservation online, click on "My Reservation" and enter your confirmation booking number and the lead passenger's last name, then follow the directions at the bottom of the page.

  • 60 days or more - minimum of $50.00 USD per person*
  • 59 days - 14 days - minimum of $100.00 USD per person*
  • 14 days or less - Non-refundable*
  • No show - Non-refundable*
  • Travel insurance - Non-refundable*

Airline Cancellations
AIRLINE TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. If changes are allowed they carry a heavy penalty. Depending upon the airline and its policies, flight cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled departure may result in the forfeiture of the ticket and with no credits issued for future travel.

Travel Insurance - Accident, Baggage, Health, Trip Cancellation, Natural Disaster/Hurricanes, Terrorism
Travel health and accident, baggage and trip cancellation insurance is available. Unexpected circumstances may occur at anytime, anywhere and to anyone. A sudden emergency just before or even during your vacation may force you to cancel or interrupt your trip. Should this occur, the last thing you need to worry about is the money you could lose.

Refunds
In the case that the company is unable to confirm travel accommodations within a 24-hour period, a full refund will be issued. Please allow for two weeks to process refunds.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION

Increased Airport Security
Arrive at the airport early. For international travel, plan to arrive 3 hours prior to international departures and be checked in for your flight no later than 2 hours prior to departure. Arrive 2 hours prior for all domestic flights. Late arriving passengers may be denied boarding. Passengers are limited to one carry on bag in addition to a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Knives, matches, lighters, and sharp instruments are prohibited on aircraft. Also, it is important to comply with the fluid restrictions or your toiletries may be confiscated. Anticipate various security check points and be prepared to cooperate with baggage searches etc.

PASSPORT & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

U.S. citizens must present a valid U.S. Passport for all air travel outside the United States. For domestic travel - one of the following items will be required at airport check-in as proof of citizenship: valid passport, naturalization papers, certified copy or original birth certificate with photo identification (drivers license). The airline cannot board any passenger who fails to carry proper documents. Unfortunately, we will be unable to make any refund due to your failure to bring the proper documentation. Non-U.S. citizens must check with the appropriate Consulate or Tourist Board regarding entry requirements. A driver’s license alone is not acceptable as proof of citizenship.

You will not be allowed on the airplane or cruise ship without proper documentation! For U.S. Citizens going on a cruise departing from and returning to a U.S. port are required to present a certified birth certification for verification of citizenship and a valid driver's license or other government issued photo I.D.

Hotel Check In/Out
At most hotels, check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Special requests are only requests and are not guaranteed. Vouchers and airline tickets are non-transferable. There are no refunds for unused airline tickets and/or vouchers. Hotels, at check-in, may ask for a major credit card or cash deposit for incidentals. Car rentals, at check-in, require a major credit card or prearranged cash deposit and a valid driver's license. A valid U.S. Passport is required for international travel.

Families Traveling with Children
Special resort discount rates are often available for children (ages 2-11) and junior ages (12 & older). Depending on the resort, children may stay free and/or receive special discounts when traveling with parents at participating hotels.

Please ask for details. Infants under 2 years of age fly free (departure taxes additional) provided the child does not occupy a seat and sits in parent's lap. Additional bedding, rollaway beds, cribs, or car seats are not included and, if available, are payable directly TO the hotel or rental car/transportation company.

Baggage
Each airline has specific size, number, and weight limits for baggage. Please contact the carrier in advance for their restrictions.

Example: Air Jamaica allows each passenger to travel with 2 checked bags (maximum weight 50 lbs. each) plus one carry-on bag (maximum weight 30 lbs.). Additional bags may incur excess baggage charges.



Not Included in the Package Price
Porterage at airports, any extra charges imposed by the airlines (see Baggage), tours, shows, tips to sightseeing guides, tips in restaurants, tips to hotel bell staff and chambermaids; items of a personal nature such as laundry, phone calls or any items not specified are all not included. Additionally, meals are not included unless otherwise specified with an all-inclusive (AI) plan. All personal charges must be paid prior to departure from the hotel or upon return of the rental car with a major credit card.

Island Departure Tax & International Fuel Surcharge
Most island departure taxes are included in the price of your airline ticket. International fuel surcharge taxes will be added depending on your destination and vary by country. Please consult the appropriate tourist board for up-to-date information regarding departure taxes and fees. 

RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY

Your flight itinerary is accurate at the time of booking HOWEVER the airlines do reserve the right to change flight times and routing without notifying the consumer, travel agency or tour operator. The airlines are only responsible to deliver you to your ticketed destination. The airlines often do make this type of change. You are responsible for contacting the airline directly and reconfirming your flight itinerary the day before travel. The Conditions of Carriage in use by the airlines concerned shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or vacations. The airlines concerned are not liable for any act, omission or event whatsoever, which occurs during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. Liability of the airlines for loss, damage or delay to baggage typically does not exceed $9.07 per pound up to a maximum of 44 lbs. for checked luggage and generally, $400 for unchecked baggage or personal property.

We have made arrangements with the airlines, hotels and other independent suppliers to provide the services and accommodations in connection with your vacation. Our affiliated companies, their agents, servants and employees shall not be liable for any claims, actions, caused action, injury, damage, loss, delay or expense arising out of the action or omissions of these independent suppliers providing services including, but not limited, to transportation, hotel, food or sightseeing services over whom we do not have direct control. In the unlikely event you should have a dispute with any supplier, we will do our best to assist in resolving the matter.

Please understand that we cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage, delay or inconvenience, whether physical or emotional, resulting from factors beyond our control including, but not limited, to the Acts of God, weather, mechanical breakdowns, labor disputes or strikes, disturbances, force of nature, sickness, pilferage, quarantine, acts of terrorism, government actions or the failure of any aircraft, watercraft or other means of transportation to depart or arrive as scheduled, or for your failure to obtain valid documents or your failure to follow instructions. We suggest you purchase Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment.

We cannot accept liability for loss or delay of your luggage or personal property, loss of enjoyment, loss of pay, emotional distress, upset or disappointment resulting from the actions of any independent supplier or from any factor beyond our control.
