Property Description

Location:
Couples Negril is situated on 18 acres facing the crescent shaped Bloody Bay on 1,000 feet of white sand beach, Couples is five miles from Negril - a small fishing village - and fifty miles from Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (a one hour and thirty minute drive).

Accommodations:
There are 234 rooms, categorized as Deluxe Garden, Deluxe Ocean, Deluxe Beach Front and Beachfront Suite. Each room has a view of the bay or lush garden views and features satellite color TV, CD player and radio, and is fully air-conditioned.

Electrical System:
110 volts/50 cycles. Adapters are not available.

Beach:
White sand beach, generally calm and crystal clear seas. Length: 1,000 feet, width 100 feet.

Clothing Optional Sunbathing:
On the East side of the property 'au naturel' sunbathing is permitted.

Jacuzzis:
Two adjacent to the pool.

Pools:
Main pool flows into a smaller pool with a swim-up bar. Length: 160 feet, width: 24 feet, depth: 4 feet. Dive Pool length: 30 feet, width: 15 feet, depth: 8 feet.

Natural Ponds:
A collection of small ponds that flow into one another on the East side of the property, the water circulating in these ponds is drawn from a well on property. On the West side of the property there is a plunge pool which is the actual exposed water table, water is pumped out of this pond and sent to a lily pond on the water's edge where the wedding gazebo is located.

Television:
Satellite television - 10 channels.

Room Descriptions

Room Amenities:

All rooms are air conditioned with private bath and a balcony or patio, king size beds, satellite television, CD player and radio (guests should bring their own CD's), telephone and hair dryer.

There are nine room blocks three levels high, no building is higher than the tallest coconut tree, with between 21 and 30 rooms on each block. All rooms except suites are the same in furnishings and fixtures.

Deluxe Garden View:
Located throughout the property, each has a private balcony.

Deluxe Ocean View:
Located on the third floor of each block and on lower floors close to the ocean, some ocean views may be partial.
Total: 67

Deluxe Beach Front:
Located on the blocks closest to the ocean, blocks 1, 5, 6, 9, these offer partial ocean and beach views.
Total: 48

Beachfront Suites:
Located at the ends of eachblock, suites are one large room and have Jacuzzi, mini bar, coffee and tea facilities and a lounge area. Suite patios have a hammock.

Tennis:
Four tennis courts (two lit for night play), pros available and lessons offered. Table tennis, volleyball, dance classes, beach and pool Olympics, golf (greens fees and transfers included) and more.

Fitness Center:

Restaurants

Breakfast:
The Terrace Restaurant offers a continental breakfast stations for early risers beginning at 5:00 a.m. At 7:30 a.m. a full breakfast buffet follows, offering an array of fruit juices, croissants, and pastries as well as hot and cold dishes. Or, if you wish, enjoy a continental breakfast in bed or on your room balcony.

The Beach Grill, open from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. offers Tapas, snacks and grill menu.

Lunch:
The Terrace Restaurant offers a tempting buffet of salads, local and European hot and cold dishes, pastries and cakes.

Dinner:
Choose from our three restaurants
The Terrace Restaurant - Continental a la carte.
The Beach Grill - Mediterranean dishes as well as pasta.

Guest passes and wedding times:

There is a day pass charge of US $75.00 per person for wedding guests staying off property.

For day passes at Couples Resorts the times are as follows:

(a) To attend the ceremony, reception (cake & champagne) and partake of one(1) meal and be here for a maximum of eight(8) hours - US $75.00 per person
(b) An all day pass 10:30 am - 11:30 pm - US$100.00 per person.

Day Pass: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Evening Pass: 5:00 pm - 2:00 am.

Weddings are performed Monday - Saturday between:
Couples Swept Away -10:00 am and 4:30 pm
Couples Negril - 10:00 am - 4.00 pm
Couples Ocho Rios - 9:00 am - 4.00 pm

Requirements: Identification papers:

Notarized copies of your birth certificate
Photo ID -Copy of your passport photo or driver's licence
Notarized written parental consent if under 21

Notarized proof of divorce, or notarized copy of death certificate for widow/widower (if applicable). Certified copy of Adoption, Deed Poll or other official name change document papers if applicable. The couple is required to be on property at least two full business days in advance in order to finalize wedding arrangements.
All documentation, including a certified check or international money order in the amount of $150 payable to the applicable resort, must be received no later than 30 days prior to your arrival at the resort. For weddings booked within 21 days, the certified check or international money order in the amount of $300, including the late processing fee, and must be sent by overnight mail to the address below.

Renewal of Vows:

Say "I DO" again to your loved one in a special Vow Renewal Ceremony for only US$100. Vow Renewal Guests will receive everything we offer in the Wedding Ceremony, except his/her 1/2 hour massages and t-shirts. A certified check or international money order payable to Couples Resorts, must be received no later than 30 days prior to arrival.
